When pandemic hits and changes everything and it happens to be your wedding year, there is no one you can turn to for advice, none of us have been here before. Couples need to face big decisions; do we move our wedding assuming life will be back to normal next summer and put our lives on hold for now? Or do we get creative, balance what we wanted before, with what is possible now? Strip down our wedding to what is most importart to us, or change it entirely?
People have switched to simple courthouse weddings, zoom call church ceremonies, and adventurous elopements. But when your wedding was going to be about family above all, then backyard wedding is a warm and romantic alternative.
Vanessa and Ryan were planning a gorgeous wedding at a wedding venue in nearby forest preserve, so the outdoor theme and gathering with family and friends were preserved at this backyard wedding.
It’s a disappointment to change your dream plans, but I believe Vanessa and Ryan came to terms with it, because they looked like the happiest couple ever! It may sound like a cliche, love conquers all, but it may just be true here, Vanessa and Ryan were so visibly in love with each other, happy to have family witness their love and move on to this next chapter together! They both radiated with love. And even as storm cut the outdoor celebration short and kicked many of the guests out, it couldn’t erase that big happy smile off their faces. Just watch and see for yourself, if the happy catches on!

It’s raining cats and dogs right here, and Vanessa said, I can dance in the rain, I don’t care. Everyone else wanted to move indoors.
